history of the comic

ink the rat began as a comic strip in 2022. the comic strip, much like the modern comic, was focused on social issues, particularly involving the rights of children and young people. it was released on comicfury for a time, but the page has since been deleted. very sad.

the strip carried on until some time in 2023. there was a printed zine edition, which contained the first year of the strips running. copies of it were sold to two stores, the notting hill comic exchange and housmans bookstore, in west and north london respectively. a surviving copy is available in the archives at 56a infoshop in south london.
